What Is CCT?

CCT (Correlated Color Temperature) is the value that describes the “tone” of light emitted by an LED, measured in Kelvin (K).

  • Low K value = orange/yellow-toned light (warm)
  • High K value = white/blue-toned light (cool)

Common Color Temperature Levels

How to Choose CCT for Each Room

Bedroom: 2700K – 3000K

Bedrooms benefit from warm-toned light because it:

  • Promotes relaxation
  • Does not disrupt sleep
  • Creates a cozy atmosphere

Living Room: 3000K – 4000K

Living rooms are flexible depending on your interior style:

  • 3000K for warm, vintage, or rustic interiors
  • 4000K for modern or minimalist interiors

Kitchen: 4000K – 5000K

Bright, neutral light in the kitchen allows you to:

  • See food colors accurately
  • Work safely
  • Spot dirt and mess clearly

Home Office: 4000K – 5000K

Natural white light helps you:

  • Stay alert and focused
  • See clearly without eye strain
  • Work for longer periods comfortably

Bathroom: 4000K – 5000K

Bright light in the bathroom is important for:

  • Accurate skin-tone rendering
  • Precise makeup application
  • A clean, hygienic appearance

What Is Dual Color (Tunable White)?

Dual Color or Tunable White LED strips let you adjust the color temperature along the same strip — from Warm White all the way to Cool White.

Benefits of Dual Color:

  • Adjust light tone to time of day (bright in the morning, warm in the evening)
  • Support multiple activities in a single room
  • No need to replace the strip when you want a different atmosphere
